As you strive day in and day out to achieve your goals, by focusing on those well thought out objectives and zeroing in on the metrics, never forget to ask yourself, am I in Love with this journey.
There are those who have seemed to effortlessly achieve their success, as if they have never hit any road blocks, or not felt the weight of burdensome pressures, even though they may have. On the other hand the quest for success for others, is seen as a heavy weight prize fight slug fest, filled with moaning, mumbling and sometimes resulting in being knocked down and deciding never to get up again.
“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.”- Pele
A key element which factors into the seemingly effortless achievement of success is finding and building your life’s work around that which you are passionate about. It may be the environment, or painting, or animals or even brick laying, it does not matter, what matters is; 1. Do you mind if thoughts of it dance in your head waking you up out of your sleep; 2. Are you energized by your pursuit of the achievement; 3. Do you lose track of time when you are engaged in the effort; 4. Are you relaxed, having fun, enjoying and embracing all that it gives to you and affords you to give back.
This is not about hoodwinking and bamboozling the mind into thinking that opposition will not be a part of the road to success. No this is about accepting the reality of opposition and redefining its purpose in the overall achievement of the success. Opposition is looked at as a door that not only MUST BE OPENED but more importantly IT CAN BE OPENED, we only need find the key. And there is always a key.
The solution (the Key), to opening up that door of opposition when found and used will lead to even greater possibilities, branches may emerge from your tree that you never knew were possible. So you begin to eagerly prepare and patiently await for the next door of opposition, however you now know it is your door for growth.
“There comes a time that every obstacle may stand against you; it takes your love to keep you on track with what you are passionate about pursuing.” ― Israelmore Ayivor, Dream Big!: See Your Bigger Picture!
Loving the journey requires the embodiment of the full self. From within the HEART will pour out an abundance of compassion for those who may be working for you and for those whom your success will elevate. With all of your MIGHT, you will hold fast and remain focused on the goals you’ve set. Determined, committed, and never wavering from the knowledge of your purpose.
Loving the journey requires the embodiment of the full self. The MIND though faced with positive and negative thoughts will find it so much easier to discern and dismiss the latter. Like a sponge it feels it must soak up all of the available knowledge, to expand the opportunity for success. The force of will to hold on against all odd becomes second nature. That inner STRENGTH drawn from every fiber of your being, while increasing your ability to stay true to your goals brings joy to the process of persevering.
“Success is Liking Yourself, Liking what You Do, and Liking how you DO IT.” – Maya Angelou
Fall in love with your journey, let the full potential of your natural talent be unleashed on to the world. You may bridle but never seek to strangle your passion. It truly has been developing you and pulling you effortlessly to your success.
